There are so many things I could say about this book! I thoroughly enjoyed reading and hated to come to the end of it! It never felt like fiction because the characters are "real" and I'm sure they keep living their lives even when the book is closed! They're like friends who are never far away in thought!I believe Judy's insightful writing can help someone understand their own pain and see beyond their own to someone else's pain.
It certainly is encouraging to see the beginning of a therapy group, to watch each person process and progress and watch it grow as a unit, too. If anyone had doubts about joining a group, this should dispel all fears!
I loved the way the therapist was shown to have some serious issues as well, and progressed with the rest while staying separate. Always relying on the Lord and wise counsel ..and love..from others.
It's obvious Judy Hudson lives what she writes! And I can't wait for more!

Outstanding read.
For any woman who has ever wondered if she is alone in her struggles, this book will warm your heart and remind you of the healing power of sisterhood. The characters are powerfully crafted and their stories stay with you long after you've put the book down. I'm hoping this author will write a sequel!
I enjoyed reading this novel. The characters were believable, and made you happy as they worked through their problems. We all have trials in our lives, and through the counseling, these people were able to feel better about themselves. It was a feel good ending. If there is a second in a series, I would definitely be interested in reading it.

Judy Hudson is an insightful and gifted professional. This very touching written work is so wonderfully tender and filled with genuine compassion for her work and for those she has helped heal. She's clearly done her own personal work, otherwise this work would not be so deeply moving.
A great story that I wanted to read once I started. I really enjoyed the writing style of this author and the realistic life challenges and individual healing that was portrayed throughout. The book ending left me hanging on a cliff, wondering what's next, so it's a very good thing it's the beginning of a series. I can't wait to read the next one!
“Tethered” captures your imagination quickly with vivid descriptions of Alaska and follows that with a cast of interesting and complicated characters. The book begins and ends well, not dragging the ending on, but not leaving us hanging, though we do start to anticipate and desire a sequel. Although we struggle with the characters as we do in life for ourselves or others in our lives, her principle character’s belief in others affects her intimate group of women, guiding them to believe in each other and ultimately more so in themselves. I look forward to Judy Hudson’s continuation of this story and hope to see many of the characters return, allowing us to follow the changes and goals they seek for their lives. It is an enjoyable book, and I predict that Hudson’s name will soon be well known.
