This is the first year that I have purchased this Calendar, which has been published annually for a long time (and this is purportedly its final year in this format). It looks like it contains a wealth of astronomical information that will guide and inform my sky viewing for the coming year. However, I have found at least one error - the calendar near the beginning that illustrated how dark the sky will be (based on the moon's phases) throughout the year is the 2012 calendar - not useful for 2013. I wonder if there are other less obvious errors that I would not notice. Also - the text inside the front cover seems to ramble. Despite these issues, I expect the Calendar to be a valuable tool.Product details

With this calendar I am now assured that I will not miss any astronomical events that will occur in 2013.
Not only does it include all the predictable events for the year, it has a great way of putting things astronomical into perspective. If you want one of these, it says that this is the last year for it to be produced as a physical publication.

I buy the new edition of this calendar every year for my husband. It is a must-have for a stargazer, packed with information.
I wasn't expecting a book .. I was hoping for something that I could hang on my wall and observe a special occurrence with when I had the time .. this is a detailed account of everything going on Astrologically for the next year. You have to study the maps and graphs with this calender in order to be able to read it.

I but this calendar every year for an astronomy enthusiast, and he still has every one! The art on the cover is always a treat, but the cover itself seems a bit flimsy this year.

I have found this Calendar extremely informative. I have already learned allot and I wasn't a beginner when it came to Astronomical inquiry. This calendar is perfect for someone who's just starting out trying to learn how to read the sky. It might look intimidating at first, but given a chance it all falls into place quickly when you follow the suggestions written down for beginners. Anyone, from a beginner to expert could find something useful in this calendar.
